It has been a month since i had applied for a demat account from ICICI for trading in the National Stock Exchange. And last week i got a call from courier guys saying i had a courier waiting. And i was so happy to know that it was the details regarding the Demat account. The next day itself I was planning to buy some shares. I was researching on which one to buy….
I was in a confusion between Reliance Power and Hindalco. The nest morning I heard news that Reliance Power is issuing bonus shares. Hearing that all my doubts were over and i decided on buying Reliance Power. As you know the market is on a meltdown now and the prices of all the shared are low. When the market opened i checked the price and i saw that the price was way abouve the previous close. I jumped to get a few in my name too. I bought 11 shares and to my dismay by evening the prices fell way below the price i bought. Anyway i was not planning to sell it right away, so i was ok with the price fall. After that i was eagerly waiting for the bonus issue detailes and yesterday the awaited news struck my ears… Mr Anil Ambani was too generous this time! The ratio was 3:5! ie ill be getting 6 shares for free. At that point i knew my decision to buy RPOWER stock was the right one. And today after their announcement the prices are up around Rs 35/share. Anyway im not planning to sell it in the near future. Thank Anil, for your generous offer.
